Bloke Undees reached out to me to see if I wanted to try out some of their gear. After looking at their website and seeing the sweet designs, I jumped at the opportunity.
Bloke Undees sells apparel that’s designed for fitness and active lifestyles. The clothes are designed in Australia and made in India.
They sent me two singlets and a pair of boxer briefs.
- The Bloke Oversize Logo Teal Singlet
- The Training Singlet Bloke Camo Black
- The Bloke Stripes Light Blue Underwear
The shirts are made of 40% bamboo fibre, 48% cotton, and 4% elastane. The underwear is made of 95% organic cotton and 5% elastane.
It’s really soft, comfortable, and stretchy.
The designs on their clothing is really top-notch. This is stuff I’d wear out of the house. My wife liked both shirts so much that she’s trying to convince me to give her one. I haven’t given in to her yet, but you know how that goes 😉
They sent me two medium shirts. Medium usually fits me either a little snug or just right, but these shirts are a little too big for me. The picture below shows me in a medium Hanes shirt. A little tight right?
With the medium Bloke Undees shirt, I have to keep pulling it up on my shoulders. The shirts also bounced off of my shoulders while I was working out, which was a little annoying.
The sizing could be based on their target market, who appear to be men who are larger than me. Keep that in mind when ordering. I think a small would probably have fit me perfectly. Or maybe I should lift more weights!
Other than that, the shirts felt very comfortable around my waist. The length is nice too.
The underwear are size medium, which is a 32″ waist. These fit me great. No problems at all with the size of these.
Cleaning and Care
These shirts need a bit of extra care.
- Wash at 30 degrees celsius (86 degrees fahrenheit)
- Do not tumble dry
- Low iron
- Do not dry clean
I made the mistake of throwing my shirts into the dryer without reading the washing directions. The lettering on the camo shirt has cracked, which is unfortunate. Shoot!
The shirts are super-soft and comfortable. They are also really light. I would wear these when working out or even just running around the town. They feel great. The underwear is also comfortable. I usually wear loose boxer shorts, but these feel nice and I’d definitely like to order more.
I tested the shirts and the underwear in various exercise situations.
- HIIT Cycling
- HIIT Cardio
- Weight Training
The shirts are great for yoga because they’re nice and stretchy. As I mentioned, the shirts I received are a little too big for me, so they were sliding off my shoulders on some yoga positions. That wouldn’t have been a problem if I had requested a better fit.
I also did some HIIT cycling training and some HIIT cardio (the Insanity program) to get the sweat really going. I wanted to see how well the clothes would wick sweat and yup, sweat-wicking works great. I got really sweaty and the shirts were not at all soaked.
Lastly, I finished up with some weight training. The wide arm holes of the shirts allow for a big range of movement. The material isn’t slippery when I was bench pressing on the weight bench either. I felt comfortable the whole time.
I’d say the shirts are good for pretty much any situation.
I also wore the underwear during the workout. I don’t know if their underwear is designed for exercise since they are made of mostly cotton, but they felt fine.
These undees are very comfortable. You don’t want your underwear bunching up when you’re working out and you won’t have to worry about that with briefs. I actually always wear briefs when I’m cycling because they don’t bunch up. I’d definitely recommend these boxer briefs for working out or even regular everyday wear.
Would I Recommend These Clothes?
I sure would! The designs are awesome, the material is comfortable, and the shirts wick sweat extremely well. The only problem I had is that the shirts are little too big for me. Bloke Undees have a 90-day return policy, but they won’t take it back if you have already worn the clothes or if they have been washed. I’d say that’s a great policy for underwear, right? 😀
